I’m generally based in London during the week - in this section I share some of the main activities I’m involved in at Westminster. For my thoughts on how that’s all going have a read of my Blog.

Matters currently reserved to the Westminster Parliament include foreign and defence policy, fiscal and economic policy, immigration and nationality, energy, broadcasting, Post Offices, social security, Child Support Agency, Tax Credits and pensions.

You can always read my contributions to the House in Hansard or watch them on Parliament TV.

All over the city – and especially at Meadowbank – majestic displays thrilled the crowds. But in a few parts of the city a tiny minority set out to cause havoc and intimidate local people.
